The art allowed the youth of Villa María , not just to find a motivation in life, but to travel and participate in national and international festivals. Some of them have became professionals, and even celebrities, in their field. They introduced to the talent of the Villa María future stars as they performed for them a very unique dance show, which combined traditional Peruvian folk and modern dance.

On their 3rd day in Lima they visited San Viator's youth center, in the district of Collique, at the northern limit of Lima.
This center, founded by San Viator’s religious congregation and offers a space for children, youngsters and parents from the neighborhood to meet and learn new things. The center cooperates with the nearby schools to better identify the children’s needs and complement their education with non formal methods, normally being kids at risk of exclusion.
At the center there’s a Ludoteca, where children can play educative games after school and do their homework with the assistance of the youth workers, who also prepare specific activities for them regarding for example Civic values or cultural diversity.
Probably the most impressive activity San Viator’s workers conduct with children and youngsters is the radio program, which they broadcast once a week and presents them with a unique opportunity to improve their communication skills, to gain self confidence and to be creative. Furthermore this radio program connects them in a very effective way with their neighborhood and its reality.
Another interesting line of work San Viator is the one they have with parents, mostly mothers, with whom they try to work together not only for the benefit of the children and youngsters, but also for their own empowerment and independence. With these mothers they do courses of bakery and handicrafts, which they will sell afterwards. The funds they raise are specially important for those women who suffer domestic violence.

After visiting their facilities they went up the hill to San Camilo's community, where (as in many other parts of Lima) low income migrants from other Peruvian regions have built illegal settlements, unable to find cheaper options. Living conditions are particularly harsh there, and that’s why San Viator's project tries to cooperate with them closely. Just a few months ago Canadian volunteers from San Viator built up there what is soon to be a social center.
After their visit to Collique they crossed the city once again to visit the southern district of Miraflores, which represents perfectly what’s the other side of the coin in Lima, with living conditions and public services at the opposite extreme. There they got to see a magnificent sunset over the Pacific Ocean, a perfect ending for a quite intense day full with contrasts.

The next day, the group left Lima for Tarma. The city of Tarma is also known as "The Pearl of the Andes", named after Antonio Raymondi, an Italian researcher and geologist, due to its spring-like climate, the abundance of its flowers and the beauty of its landscapes. The city of Tarma is located in the department of Junín in Peru at 3,050 meters above sea level near the river Tarma, about 50 km from “La Oroya”.
Arriving at the hotel, they took "Mate de coca" because that helps keep oneself warm and it is also healthy because of the altitude and the cold weather in Tarma. In the afternoon we met with Luis Blanco, the leader of the "Kaypacha Kankunapa" project, that means “one world for all”, with whom their shared their expectations regarding the days we will be in Junin, visiting different places such as Palca, Villa Rica and Chanchamayo.
Then, they went to Mr. Manuel López's house, who is a craftsman and works on the project. In Mr. Manuel's house they watched an introductory video about the "Kaypacha Kankunapa" project. Basically, the project starts with the motto of "equality and justice" focusing on the remote villages of the department of Junín.
The "One world for all" project also focuses on eco-arts, ecotourism and micro-enterprise, seeking to be self-sustainable over time. In addition, it is responsible for teaching people about the natural products that nature provides. Recently a group of volunteers who came from Mexico, Italy and France spent three weeks doing volunteer activities.
It also seeks to promote cultural exchange with volunteers nationally and internationally. They also presented a future project plan in Palcamayo, a place located in Junín.
